We provide a full 24-hour emergency service every day of the year as all Veterinary Practices do.
This service is provided to deal with emergency cases only, which arise outside normal surgery hours.
We use the Medicom telephone answering service based in Norwich which will relay your details to the on call Vet who will be one of our five Vets who participate in the emergency rota.
The Vet who will either offer advice or arrange to see your animal will then contact you.
All of our Vets are able to deal with the full range of emergencies that may arise but you may not see the Vet you normally deal with and in the case of pet emergencies you may be asked to travel to one of our other three surgeries to enable us to offer the quickest and most appropriate care.
We would normally ask that all pet emergencies are seen at a surgery rather than at home even if you have to call on a friend or neighbour for transport as the range of treatment that can be administered at home is severely limited.
In addition to the Vet we have a Veterinary Nurse available to assist with surgical cases and to care for any in-patients.
Please remember that the Vet will be covering three surgeries as well as farm and horse calls. Please help them by only telephoning with emergencies.
