Exotic Services
Our practice has had a firm commitment to providing care for all exotic species for many years.
David Flatt first developed this interest when he became the main Vet responsible for Banham Zoo when it was initially founded as a monkey sanctuary many years ago. On his retirement Andy Williamson assumed this role having spent several years learning from David’s vast experience.
Banham Zoo has evolved over the years to become one of the leading collections in the country and we have evolved with them to be able to offer a full range of diagnostic tests as well as medical and surgical treatment options for practically any exotic species including birds of prey.
As well as the full range of equipment available to our other small animal patients we have inpatient facilities suitable for most species of exotic pets.
Your initial point of contact relating to exotics should be Andy Williamson who has been responsible for the treatment of exotics within the practice for over ten years. He is assisted in this by Hannah Kelly, who has the interest and commitment needed for this sometimes challenging aspect of the practice.
